Roemer- und Pelizaeus-Museum Hildesheim
The Roemer-Museum Hildesheim 1844 by an association has been launched, since then, the lawyer, Senator and geologist Hermann Roemer as the museum's founder. Of the approximately 40 years in Cairo live merchant, banker and Consul in 1907 Wilhelm & Pelizaeus donated his collection of Egyptian finds his hometown. On the 29. July 1911 the Pelizaeus Museum was opened.
